There has been a lot going on over the past few weeks. God has been showing me more of who He is and who he wants me to be. There is one verse that has been used to help me in some huge ways. Philippians 3:13. Take some time to look it up and STRAIN for what’s ahead in Him…
weekend review/song of the week…this week…
March 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment
wow what a crazy week and I must say that this week is only going to be as crazy if not crazier. It’s been a good weekend but it has FLOWN by. Today @ Stonecreek was awesome!! To hear an eighth grader get up and announce the name of someone he wants to share Christ with is an amazing yet heart wrenching thing to hear. HE GET’S IT!! Dustin Dozier did an amazing job of talking about how we need to be KINGDOM minded.
This weekend was fun, spent most of it with my amazing wife. You know I want to be on my face every day learning and listening at how to be a better husband to my precious bride. That also goes for being a worship leader, an employee, a friend or anything else we are to be in this life. That’s why the song of the week is this amazing tune from Jeremy Camp entitled “So in Love”. In a world, even a churched world, we are told not to be intimate in our thoughts, words and actions, we NEED to confess our LOVE for HIM OUT LOUD!! We as Christ followers need to express and show our love for Jesus. We should LONG and count down the seconds, hours and minutes that we get to be in His presence. Are you so in love with Jesus that it CONSUMES you?? Are you so in love with Jesus that you HAVE to know everything you can about Him? Are you so in love with Christ that you want your SOLE purpose to be to bring Him glory with your life?? That as Colossians says:
“And whatever you do whether in word or in deed, do it ALL in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” 3:17
to truly be in LOVE with Christ will teach us how to love, live, work and play…

Prayer for a friend…update
March 7, 2009 · 1 Comment
Hello to all! I wanted to take a moment to give you an update on the friend I told you about about a week ago. Her name is Courtney Martin. She had an 3″ brain tumor, the surgery was yesterday. The doctor was able to remove approx. 90% of the tumor. The other 10% was in a place that was very dangerous and was not able to be removed. The doctors will advise her to do treatment to reduce the size of the other 10%. Right now that’s all we know. Please be in prayer for her and her family and the lengthy recovery and treatment process begins.
Father, we know that you are in control and are Mighty to Save and are the GREAT HEALER! Please be with Courtney and her family during this time. We pray for your will to be done….In Jesus name…

Have you ever been around someone that just makes you want to be a better person. People that challenge you, in a good way, by the way they live the life that God has given them. I just had lunch with THIS GUY and I can tell you that God’s hand and favor is all over his life and church. A man that truly wants to see the name of Jesus glorified in this city, country and the world. Love ya Mike!

what a weekend!!
March 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
hey guys here is a recap of the weekend…
- Friday night I played with a good friend of mine for NorthStar Church’s Mission’s night. It was an amazing time of worship and reflection in the ways that God used people to transform lives all over the world. At one point during a slideshow dvd people started singing along and raising their hands in worship while “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” played in the background. INCREDIBLE!
- Kimberly and I got our first couch on Saturday evening. This thing rocks, comfortable and stylish, gotta love it!
- Had an amazing morning with Dustin Dozier @ Stonecreek Church this morning. We started a new series called “Upside Down”. Living for the King in an upside down world. We ended with “Let God Arise”. The students LOVED it and really met with God this morning. Dustin and I carpooled in so we could start planning and praying about Easter. Stay tuned, there are some amazing things coming.
- wow, it’s SNOWING!!!
greater things,
=chris=

It’s going to be a night of celebration in what God has done and the GREATER THINGS that He is doing through the ministry of Wally and Nidia Walkup. It starts @ 700pm in the True North building. If you are in the area and stop by and check it out.

song of the week…

I don’t know about you but I have needed this this week…
Micah 7:7:
7But as for me, I will look to the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18:
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
